I got another of these today, and I noticed that the guide sizes are different between the two.  The first and second are the same, but after that, they change.  The spacing is different, too.  I'm a little confused, never seen it before.  Anyone able to pull a couple measurements from tip down to say the third guide down, then the second?

That is odd. I have two of those, and don't remember noticing anything different about the guides or spacing.

But, I don't use them. Don't like "em, so I gave them to my wife. She likes "em just fine.

I'll look at them when I get home, take some measurements, and get back to you.

check the date they were made, they show you how on the st croix webstie on the warranty page.

its possible that one is a little older and before the "concept" spacing of the guides. otherwise i havent heard anything about it, kind of odd if its not that, imo

St Croix's website still advertises the Fuji Alconite Concept Guide system. There is some room for flexibility within that though. Just for fun, you can swap a reel from rod to rod and see which casts better or if there is a difference at all.

Put the same CI4 on both, and there's no noticeable difference between the two.
