Shimano Trynos reel???

Featured Replies

I was just looking at a Shimano trynos reel with an 8 lever drag and 170yds of 20lb test.  At www.fishingtackleoutlet.com it lists for $219.99 and they have it in there new arrivals for just $94.99.  I don't know much about reels(cranks) so what is this reel used for.  Is it too big for freshwater?   Bill

I was thinking for a larger/heavier Northern Pike or Muskie setup. I have a larger pike setup now and maybe could upgrade the reel. Seeing over $100 off on sale looks good but not so good if i can't use it.

With all this new stuff, well to me anyway and being out of the loop i just don't understand which reel i which without seeing it. They never list the fish or game fish its for. Once i'm pasted the old zebco 202 or 404 and if the spinning reel isn't a number 2 or 3 i'm lost. Sorry; Bigbill
