Can't take it anymore!!

Featured Replies

I think were approaching our 90th day with snow on the ground.  My trip to Fork only has wet my appetite to be on the water.  Gorilla you may have to let me invite myself to your private shed as the ice will come off of you several weeks earlier than in Omaha.   :(

Put the knifes and guns away.

GO BIG RED, LET GO SPRING

I hear ya.  Fished west Texas Thursday thru Sunday morning.  It was pretty cool but better than here.  Was going to fish Fork Sunday thru today but had a death in the family and had to cut it short.  Oh well, I'll go back in 3 or 4 weeks.

Sorry about your loss Jon.  I think I'm here waiting on the ice to melt.

GO BIG RED

Yep, I am ready!!!

Looking to possibly start driving south till I can find some open water as I am sick of short poles.

Bring on the warm!  Watching the classic last weekend didn't help none either.

I'm with y'all !! Just *** the ones who can go to Texas !!

Stuck here in Mid MO  :(

They're forecasting temps around 50ish this weekend. I'm going one way or tother!!

Talking to a guy today about the temp (in the 40's) - he said "won't be long with days like these" - I told him it ain't the days, it's the nights - everything that melts just freezes back at night  >:(

Despite the slow (or non-existant in my case) bite, I've been venturing to the strip pits to at least throw a cast whenever I get the chance. Thank the lord they reopen to vehicle traffic this weekend.  8-)

penquin, if your from Park City, why do you fish the pits over here so much?  I know they're good but that's a long drive.

Take up ice fishing.  It is like 2 different sports.  I love the complete change of pace and style in the winter.  And the fishing is great.

just think of it this way guys..down here in florida we're able to fish all year long, but we sometimes get a little worn by it and duck hunt, deer hunt, or do someting of that nature just to do something else. and by the time we get done with all that we're pumped to go fish again! now i'm not tryin to make light of yalls situation by any means and i do feel bad for your weather, but i think its great yall are so pumped up to get out there so you can slay em'. hey your always welcome down here :( low of 60 high of 78

I'm staying in Pittsburg for school through this semester ;D

Good lord the pit fishing is fun, but if I was gonna drive this far I'd just stop at Big Hill  :(

Do u even know where big hill is at, seeing as u have never fished it?  hahaha i kid i kid

I am spending this weekend in broken arrow, OK BPS watch the pros do their demos, and buying more stuff i can't afford.  Then in 2 weeks hopefully the kansas angler meet

Same *** to you guys in Florida !! And you in the northern parts who can ice fish.  this winter here has kept the ponds and lakes froze most of the time and the only place I can fish (local) is a small lake north side of Marshall MO with enough geese to keep it open, but it is a mess with the feathers and all but it is fishing  ;D

LOL good question Quinn.  If I threw that out there would be too many of them wanting to go.  Plus my destination is really too far to make it fly.

I am going to head out Sunday with a work associate so I will get a little medicine this weekend!   :(

Sat. is supposed to hit 70 here!  Sunday has high's in the 40's, I think the last couple days will still have the water temps up and hopefully we will find a few looking to get back into shape!

Happy Releasing!

YES!  pushed the envelope Sunday and made it out.  It was a windy, windy day!  Lots of TM time..LOL!

Blanked - no players!  Had one bite and missed him/her!  Good news was the boat ran great (knock on wood)!

Well at least I got out and was kindly reminded why they call it fishing not catching!

Got to get my boat back in my storage area - supposed to snow now!!!  Got to love this midwest weather!

Man it was windy this weekend .  I tried to fish the mouth of a cove  where the creeks channel dumps in the old main river channel.  All I really did was play bumper boats with the timber.  We finally just tied up knowing we weren't going to catch anything but man it was good to get out.

We even saw a bit of snow down here in Texas this morning.  Some of it didn't melt until noon!!!  By afternoon we were in the 60s again though.
