Well the bait monkey hit hard this weekend. Had to hit both Bass pro shops the one in Independence and Overland Park. Just had to see the one in Indep. then had dinner at OP needless to say the items I passed up the first time ended up in the kart at the second stop. The wife had to drag me away from the 170 Tracker on display more than once :-( When we get a date set I'm ready. Plenty of lures to choose from.

water temp was 42 degrees yesterday per KDPW. at what temp does the fishing pick up?

IMO ......

48-50 is when things start to wake up

55 is PRIME TIME

i could be wrong but i dont see 55 degrees in 2 weeks. mid-april might be a better time to get a larger group on the water.

We can do an April also for those unable to make the March 22 at Bone.  :)  Pick a time / place and see what response there is.

come on guys, weather got every one down? Let's pick a date we all can get on the lake. April? May?

;D ;D ;D

Global Warming.

When I was a kid it was global cooling they were worried about.

Just an update on Bone Creek.  Had a jackpot tourney there last night.  68 degrees when I left Pittsburg, 45 when I got back home.  I think there were about 28 boats, water was 46, and I THINK I  heard that someone caught A fish.  I'm not positive about that though.

you are correct ringfry, there was a 3, 4 1/2, and a 5.37. noted temp in my areas, 45-48 at one point. pretty certain the winner was fishing deep trees, but cant say for certain. which boat were you in ringfry?

I might have had a bump on a split shot fluke in 18' of water, but with the wind, it  was hard to tell.  It, I was in the brand new, shiney, 1989 Tracker with the super powerful 35 horse Merc.   ;D  I pretty much camped out on a deep creek junction trying to catch just one fish.

alright, i remember, i think it was hooked up to a newer dodge pickup right?  i was in the red stratos with the mariner on the back,  i was throwin a crankbait, caught one that went 16 1/4.  i just got back from the lake, it was hard fishin today, not a bite.

SUGGESTION/IDEA - YA ALL TELL ME TO PURSUE:

Second or third week in MAY:

Quivira Boy Scout Lake ( Murray Gill - Think)

Lake:  sick boy scout private 400 acre watershed:  smallies and Blacks in handsome numbers:

Donation of (guess:  75.00 a head) tax deductable I suspect if she allows us.

Gents:  this would be a blast!  I would work on organizing if you guys would particpate.  I understand its a pocket of cash and if we don't have enough interested parties thats cool.

BUT:   I think the $$ would be deductable and the lake is 400 acres of pure heaven.  You would not be disapointed!  (IE: money well spent)  I would be happy to foot the tab for B-fast and Shore lunch if this thing gets off the ground!

I have briefly spoken with w4svc and he has given his blessing! :)

Post up if this interest you!  It will be a trip of epic porportions if the Boy Scouts allow it.

Happy Releasing,

H.G.
