Bank fishing in southeast Louisiana?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of any good places to bank fish in southeast Louisiana?  I have a few good places but I am looking for somewhere new and I do not have a boat at the moment.

Preferably north or west of Lake Pontchartrain.

Thanks,

T-Bone

if you live in hammond, idk what to tell you...i live in ponchatoula, and i fish the interstate pond by my house, theres fish in it but they are hard to catch...id advise taking a ride out to mandeville...get on the road that has american eagle and stuff, keep going passed harbor market until you get to Lonesome Rd. second pond on the right is pretty good, if asked say ur mom or someone lives in green leaves....if u keep going down lonesome...take a left at the light and take a left at the next light (sharp rd.) go down about 3/4 of a mile to audubon lakes and turn in there...second road on the right, go down to the turnaround and park on the side of the road...the people who live there are really friendly and ask if you could walk through their yard to fish the pond....its a huge pond, bringing a pirogue or canoe (with or without a trollin motor) would be really smart, if you have it...and the pond in ponchatoula...take a left on duncen, which is the blinking light by ponchatoula high....follow it all the way down and you'll wind up on a service road..not too much farther is the interstate pond i fish, on the right...you'll probably see me there with my flueger on a triumph rod fishing a trick worm

i know exactly what you mean. me and my buddy have the same problem. we do have a nice gravel pit we fish in ALOT. and then like you said some nce private ponds but we are constantly on the look trying to find us some new places as close as possible and with a nice payoff of catching some.
