*News Announcement!* Pike invading southern louisiana?

Featured Replies

Well, I went fishing this morning and afternoon...was a very slow and not productive day. I tried the trick worm/double buzz in the morning, and I caught 2 bass. Later in the evening, in a different pond, I fished the Gamblers Flapp'n Shad for about 3 hours and caught one bass. This is the weird part...I started fishing some grassy/highly covered areas and I couldn't even get a hit. 30 minutes pass by and I start reeling in what I think to be a bass under a big mess of weeds, but once I got it up to the boat, it turned out to be a pike. I googled pictures of pike just because I wasn't sure, because I'm from southern Louisiana and I've never actually seen a pike. Sure enough it is...is there an explanation for this?
