Mozingo

Featured Replies

Hi gang, I have a small club tournament comming up this weekend at Mozingo - just wondering if anybody had any info or tips - I will probably spend most of the day up in the trees on the north end.  Appreciate any help you have.

I wish I could help Shad_Master but I'm coming in a few days after your club.  I've been working like a slave and I'm finally taking some days off to hit Mozingo, Bilby Ranch, and Truman later this week.  Good luck in your tournament.

Senile, if this catches up with you - our tounament was tough.  Lots of fish were caught but no discernable patterns.  Bass seemed to be both deep and shallow - white spinner baits did well as did C-rigged ring fries especially along the road bed.  We ran over some of the brush piles in the main channel but didn't see anything holding on 'em.  Couldn't have fished them anyway due to the large group of yahoo boaters and skiiers.  One of these days I'm going to figure this lake out, but haven't yet.  I will be interested to hear about Bilby - have never fished it but heard lots of good stories.

Well, maybe they weren't skiing, but I did see some tubers and lots of yahoo boats and jet skis.
