I've been fishing this lake for 4 days in a row now and it's been very slow. I just can't seem to locate the bass the water temp. has been about 66 to 70 degrees. I've caught a couple good ones in shallow water under weeds but haven't had much luck since. The lake doesn't get but about 20 ft. deep and really isn't a lot of structure we have a lot of stumps tree tops and peers. Been fishing mostly with tequila shad and cotton candy brush hog but it has been very slow and disappointing. One of the bass I cleaned had a crawfish in em. Any advice?

How do I find the baitfish I mean what do i look for?

On your graph, or just look in the cover and you will see them if they are there. They show up well on a sonar screen.

What about us guys with out a boat and sonar or electronics?  I fish the banks of some small lakes and ponds (central MO).  Some I have knowledge of the bottom structure and some bridges and docks that produce well in the spring, summer, but now the water is getting very cold, some ice in shallow coves ?????

P.S. these are land locked without streams and such.

yeah i fish mostly golf course tanks, some of which are rather big. no streams or creks or anything.  i could use a little help in this epartment too!

baitfish will mainly be near the top adn splashing a bit

i have the best results with spinner bait when i fish places like that,medium to small spinners, 3/16 or less. slow crank those suckers and let them go deep down. if the water is muddy and dark use colors like white and chartreuse, gold and chrome blades work real good. but the key here is to go slow. i have caught all bass in the cover, stumps and brush. all have been casting side ways running parallel to shore cover and brushes, you migh want to try that. they have all been close to the shore and shallow in the morning, between 7:30 and 9:30 am
