Looking for Fishing near Ft Leonard Wood

Featured Replies

Hey Fellas,

I am headed out to Ft Leonard Wood April 2 for six weeks.  I am attending a military school but will have weekends off and am looking to fish every weekend hopefully.  Where can I find some good fishing?  I won't have a boat so I'll be on foot patrol.  Thanks for the help in advance.

Also, if anybody wants to hook up and go fishing that would be great.  I'm more than willing to drive within a couple hours of Ft Leonard Wood to meet some new people.  I'm looking forward to hearing from everybody.  Have a great day.

I replied to your PM.  If all works out, I will take you out to LOZ and rip some lips and cross some eyes.

The Big Piney river runs right through the FLW grounds. That river has outstanding LM and SM fishing. There are also canoe liveries very close to you for either the Big Piney or the Gasconade river, another great fishing river for LM and SM.

I'm adding that a friend of mine in construction did some work down there on the base grounds a number of years ago.  There are some ponds on the property down there that have fish in them.  Might want to check that out.
