Hey Guys,

Trying to find some people in my area that love to fish as much as I do. Looking to fish the Gasconade River in the next few weeks!

I live near St.Louis, MO.

I've never fished the Gasconade, but I have fished the Meremac. Rivers aren't my favorite, but I'll fish them occasionally. Do you fish any bigger waters?

 Thanks for the reply. I do occasionally fish Lake of the Ozarks with my family, and love the fishing there. But i don't have a boat yet, so that makes the bigger lakes harder to fish. Once I do get a boat I will spend most of my time fishing at bigger lakes, really would like to get in tournaments someday! What lakes do you like to fish?

My reason for this post was to see if there was anyone in my area that needed a fishing partner, are to see if anyone just wanted to go  fishing sometime don't have many friends that like to fish as much as  I do.

Hey Basscrazy, I definitely love to fish and I'm in St. Louis, but with three kids (10, 8 & 2), and all their activities, work, stuff around the house -- you get the picture -- I don't get out nearly as much as I would like.  My 8 yr old son is really getting into fishing, so I try to get out with him when I can to small lakes which aren't too far away, even if just for a few hours.  No boat here either, we fish from the bank.

I like bigger reservoirs. I fish Mark Twain, LOZ, Carlyle, Coffeen for the most part. I will get to KY Lake, Pomme, Tuman, Stockton, etc once I get to where I need to be. I also fish locally on smaller lakes, but it is real tuff to learn what I need to learn on those lakes, but it is better than staying home.

I also love tournaments. I haven't fished them much since last year. I am working on specific things so I can enter bigger tournies and not just be a donater.

Try reading this thread, I have met Jon and I have fished with Valascus and Harshman and his wife, they were all good folk.

And Val lived near St.Louis.

Do you have a boat?  I don't have one but would like a fishing buddy as well.  I am new to it, but I enjoy, more than my wife does.
