milwaukee, Wisconsin

Featured Replies

hi im going to be visiting my sister in Milwaukee and im wondering if there are any hot largemouth spots over there?  i'll be there for a week and probably will be fishing with my brother n law with his boat.  Any lake suggestions would be great thanks!

If you make it an hour or so west to the Madison chain I know the area very well, you can give me a PM if you make it out this way.  Also lake Delavin and whitewater lake are great, the Wisconsin river has some good spots as well.   You got Muskego near milwaukee thats a good lake, as well as the entire Oconomowoc area.

ya i love to fish so i would love to get at least a day when i go visit my sister over there.. all i know is my brother n law and them only fish white bass so i dont know if they know any Largemouth spots. I love largemouth so hopefully ill get a chance to see how its like in another part of state instead of cali.

I'm sure the bass here are much smaller than you're used to in CA. The biggest bass I ever caught in WI. was 20", last week.

ok guys heading to mil on friday and i want to pick up a few plastics before i got, what color is the best choice over there or is the natural pumpkin and watermelon the best to go with, also what color jigs and trailers?? i already have some crazylegs in watermelon, superspeed craws, and some keeper craws in brn/green..

PBJ is killer as is green pumpkin with copper to immigate crappie.  Watermelon red is also good and blue gill / perch colors
