Nrx 894c and Conquest 904c
I totally understand where you're coming from, I used to use my OG MBR GLXs for everything haha. I still have them till this day, however they don't get fished anymore. I feel like I just need to take both of them out and do a side by side and see what I like because I honestly like how both of the rods load up, even though different. I felt like this all the time using my 853c NRX, that rod is so light, but it never broke when I swung for the fences.

Nrx 894c and Conquest 904c
I use the rods basically for what they were designed to be used for bottom contact, pitching, etc. However, when I first started fishing I was limited to only having two rods at most, so I found ways to make rods work with different applications even if they weren't specifically designed or meant to be used that way. I can probably find different uses for both, but I'm on the fence if I really want to. I have rods to cover other applications already. I guess I just am uncertain if I should keep both.

New to Jerkbaits
I've always fished jerkbaits with 7' rods with fast action. I just like how the quick snaps with a fast action rod creates really erratic movements with the jerkbait. I believe fishing a longer rod lets me get away with the fast action of the rod, due to it being just a tad more parabolic than a shorter fast action rod due to length. One of the things about jerkbaits is the versatility of the lure. You just keep changing it up until the fish bites, then follow that pattern. If the water is clear and water is warmer go for faster retrieves and more erratic. Just change it up, you'll eventually get bit. Also, remember to pause from time to time, usually they will hit right after the pause or during. Don't give up on it, because jerkbaits are actually one of my go to lures. Stick to natural colors or bone in clear water and darker more vibrant in stained water. 10lbs line gives better action, however I tend to just go ahead and throw 12lbs because I don't mind bigger line.

Nrx 894c and Conquest 904c
Would you pick one over the other? And what is the reasoning behind it? I have both of these and am not sure if I want to keep them both or get rid of one. They both are great rods, but can be used for pretty much the same applications. I love the action on the MBR since I started my high end fishing with OG Mag Bass rods, however once I moved to the NRX JWR rods I got to really to love how the road loads up. I'm just not sure I need both of these rods. Anyone in my situation? What are you using the rods for?

AbuGarcia Skeet Reese
Tackle Depot has the Skeet Reese reel for $224 20% off retail price. I need to know if this reel is worth the 220 dollars. How does it compare when throwing lighter baits with the chronarch 51mg, How does it cast 3/8 size baits, will it have enough man power to bring in 10-15 pound striped bass with ease, hows the drag on the reel?? I've recently read some of past post for the skeet and the zillion seems to be the favored reel, but it's another 50+ dollars not including shipping. Any help with this will help me out a lot. I recently sold my chronarch 51mg so I could upgrade to a little bigger reel that could hold a bit more line since I do shore fish. And now I am in need for an upgrade. I loved the 51mg how does the skeet reel compare to it, does the 51mg fish better or the skeet?? Most importantly, will I be wasting my money on this upgrade??

P-Line Cxx
love cxx extra strong and very good a lot of memory but its ok.. yo-zuri is better for casting but after my one bad spool i never bought it again.. in my opinion cxx for heavy cover and yo-zuri for the lighter cover

P-line cx or pline cxx
cxx is hard to break thats all i know i fished cxx 8# and landed nice stripers in rocky areas and it held up great.. i have 10# on my baitcaster and its pretty good, it doesn't throw as good as yo-zuri though in my opinion, but i believe its stronger only because i've recently broke a couple LC with yo-zuri...

Help wanted!! swimbait set-up
I wanted to try out some smaller swim baits in the 4" range and bought some on the flea market i ended up buying 3.. i never used swimbaits before and need your help in what set-up would best suit me with these new lures. they are hard lures by the way i got a TT bluegill, Giron Bluegill and i forgot the other one but those 2 should give you a picture of what ill be throwing.. the rigs i have are these chronarch 51mg/7mf avid citica 201e/7mh claurus daiwa 153hl/7m carbomax the thing is the 2nd rig isn't mines its my bros but we share our fishing stuff so i can use the claurus with the other 2 reels if its the better rod choice. also what would be good line to use i dont want to use braid because i heard it messes up the rod guides so im planning on getting some mono but what should i get 25lbs big game 20lbs yo-zuri 20lbs cxx what would be best any help is welcomed thanks...

Chronarch 51mg line
the thing is i didn't even get a chance to backlash when i broke my lucky crafts because it was brand new line. I just recently came back from clear lake with 12# yozuri and it did excellent there, i decided to switch to 10# when i got back because i wanted a little bit more line in my spool, so i definately know its not the backlash i think i got a bad spool of it, i can accept the carolina rig's breaking because of the line hitting trees, etc. underwater but not the LC especially when they wern't even deepdivers, im just probably going to stick with 12# yozuri if i do decide to go back to it i just spooled up my chronarch with 10# cxx hopefully it'll do the job

millerton Lake
has anyone been having luck at millerton lake?? if so where madera side or fresno?? Boat or Shore?? i know millerton is a hard lake to fish, but usually on an outing i would get a couple now it seems like getting a strike is impossible. Im fishing from the shore, but usually ill find a spot that anglers won't spend a lot of time at and catch a couple like i said.. In my past 2 outings there i caught 2 15" spotted bass that were skinny as heck and that was it.. the little 12 inchers didn't dare hit my plastics or jerkbaits.. tips are greatly appreciated

Chronarch 51mg line
im pretty much confused to why this happened because i hear so much good things about yozuri, but then when i lost 2 LC in the same day i wasn't so sure if it was a wise idea to buy it again.. i know for a fact the 12# works well, but maybe its like you guys said i got a bad spool of it, i know my brother is using 10# also, but his is on a spinning rod and it hasn't broken on him yet only once when it tangled and knotted up on him other than that it hasn't broken off any lures yet.. ill probably just stick with cxx it has more memory than yozuri but its strong as heck.

Chronarch 51mg line
so the other day i spooled my 51mg with 10' yo-zuri hybrid and went out to the lake for the day... That day i broke 2 lucky crafts during the cast what happened?? this never happened to me before, but it is the first time i used 10' yozuri.. i was throwing a bds 3 crank and a 100 pointer which arn't that very big or heavy... And just yesterday to add i broke 2 rigs carolina rig with a lizard. i have used 12' yozuri on my 51mg and it works well i didn't think going to 10' would be a mistake, what a lession i learned... Anyone have this reel spooled up with something else that does the job?? any help is appreciated. st.croix mf 7'/51mg, light lures, weightless plastics thats all i use sometime carolina rig, would i be better of switching to 10' pline cxx for the strength or what would you guys recommend??
