fished all day. 1 fish. heavy winds. threw everything but the kitchen sink.

caught the only fish on a DT-10 brem.

water was somewhat clear and 51 degrees. you can see clearly where the bass will be spawning.

Is that the little lake as your enter Shadow Glen Golf Club?  If so, how do you get on it?

Thanks

It's only been open for 6 or 7 years now.  Dink capital of KS, but a fun little lake to fish none the less.  Plus they have a few smallies swimming around in there.  The odds aren't good though.  I have caught 1 out of the probably close to 600 bass I have caught out there.  And there was a couple trips when I specifically targeting them.  I did not catch the 1 on one of those trips. ;D

No wonder I didn't know about it.  I moved down here in '01.

I've been meaning to head back over there.  I went out there about a month or so ago on one of our 70 degree Saturday's (between the 30-40 degree days we'd been having).  Water temp was 43, no nibbles.  I'm sure it's picking up now though.

anybody fish out at kill creek lately? went out 2 weeks ago, and was skunked. threw the whole tackle box at it. That lake is getting overrun with some sort of milfoil or noxious weed. getting real thick in a lot of places.

i still fish the lake a lot. if you dont have a boat id just pick on the dam end with plastics.

they have sprayed the weeds a lot but they keep coming right back. great for the fish, stinks for the fishermen.
