Good day fishing.

Featured Replies

Here in southern Oklahoma we've had some unusually cold temps that came a bit early in the season. Was great for deer hunting but slowed the late fall bassin' early. Beginning on Saturday we've had temps in the low to mid 60's for highs and high 40's to low 50's for lows. Yesterday my bud and I went to our favorite honey hole not really expecting much. He's a die-hard Baby Brush Hog thrower and I tend to throw craws, tubes, cranks, and then after he catches a few then switch to the Brush Hogs. I'm a Baby Brush Hog believer now though. We started the day really slow with the first fish coming after two solid hours without a bump. My bud jumped into the lead with four fish to my goose egg. But I switched to the Brush Hogs and being in the front of the boat ended the day with six fish to his five. A total of eleven quality fish from 1-3 lbs. in the third week of January, impressive for me. I normally don't bass fish this time of year but had a great day yesterday and will be back at it again soon.
