What's the deal with O.H. Ivie?

Featured Replies

What's going on in that part of Texas? This lake has put 9 entries in the sharelunker program this year. 9 fish over 13 lbs in just a few months. Amazing.

While we are mentioning Ivie,  My Dad coached at Miles Tx in the 70's after leaving Comstock.

I have always had great success prior to Ivie being built in all parts of the Concho and Colorado on Purple worms, ie   Manns jelly worms and mister twister.

Firetails, orange, yellow, white, they were the magic baits growing up.    Watched Dad prove that too many times.

Even Fayetteville, I guess anything LCRA, purple would be good start.

Yea, hopefully some people will start going to OH Ivie instead of coming down here to choke and falcon.  We could use the break.

Like I have always said, there are a bunch of lakes in TX that are full of big fish, its just that everyone only wants to fish the same several lakes.  Me, I have been enjoying these little known spots for years!

How about a new Lake record of 16.02.

Will post picture later, she's a beautiful toad.

Yea, heard about that 16 lber this weekend at the Choke boat ramp while we were all standing around talking about where our big fish have gone!

Enjoy it while it last cause the word is getting out!  Just wait till yall get some mag writups and TV time!  Then the flocks will start coming and you will see things get tougher!  Dont get me wrong, the fish will still be there, they will just quit nailing anything that moves!
