Sam Rayburn
Fished Rayburn a week or so ago, found a pattern right at the Walter Umphrey boat launch. Lipless in a off white or ghost color. Then on to Farmers cove. Same pattern same color. XR50 in ghost being the most productive. Cast literally on the bank and crank it digging up the bottom. Tiger creek was the same way, but more on 5" hollow swimbaits there. Just a little info for ya'll.

Anybody into Techno/Dance/Dubstep/Hardstyle?
I used to listen to AK1200, Deiselboy,Aphex Twin, Omar Santana, Goldie, Rabbit in the moon, Aphrodite, DJ Dara, Danny tha wildchild. And a whoooole bunch of other breakbeat and drum n bass. Grew out of it. I listened to all that in the mid and late 90's. Every now and again I will give it a listen to bring back some memories.

Census-How many of you use Megastrike Fishing Products-WHY /WHY NOT
I do not use megastrike. The reason is because the products are not available at my local stores. If megastrike were available in Academy and Gander Mtn I would use it all of the time. Especially the mega bug.

Is everyone on this board a senko freak?
I personally have lost my patience for senko type baits. With all the setups I bring on my boat I am constantly changing rods. I fish fast until I find them, then slow down. I think this year I have caught one fish on an SK zero. I just don't ever tie one on anymore. The only time I do is in the spring, in the pre spawn and spawn times. I do think they are an excellent bait, especially for sight fishing in gin clear water and flipping buck brush. But it is a boring bait, just too slow for my taste.

necessary salt water shore tackle.
My must have saltwater gear. At least 4 chrome rat l traps, chrome and pink or chrome chartruese is also fine. Also Hogies minnows in Halloween color, Berkley gulp shrimp in molting, pearl white, new penny, and glow in the dark colors. Rapala skitterwalk in redfish color. Mirrolure catch jr and catch 2000 shad or glow color. Zoom superfluke smokin shad and white (for fishing around rocks) rigged tx weightless. Norton send eel any color. Gambler flappin shad various colors. A variety of jigheads and keel weighted hooks. And a popping cork. I only target reds, specks and flounder. For snooks I don't have a clue.

What kind of boat did you fish your first....
I think I was 12 or 13, I'm 31 now. Somehow my cousin got me to fish in a Redman tounry on T Bend. The boat I can't recall the make, maybe a glastron. It looked like a bath tub. It had a chrysler motor on it. it was OLD. But to this day that boat and motor are some of my best memories. The smell of that exhaust from that chrysler smelled so good to me early in the morning.

Picking apart a brain
If you could sit and pick someone apart about all of their vast fishing knowledge, who would it or they be? 1. Biffle for his knowledge of flipping and shallow water. 2. Faircloth for his knowledge of Rayburn 3. Velvick for swimbait stratagies 4. Elias for cranks and c rigging tips.

NOT fat ika
Does Yamamoto make a bait like a fat ika but without the bulbus shape? If so where can I get some? Pardon my lack of Yama knowledge.

When and where to use white?
I rarely use it, but when I do it's good for me in gin clear water in the spring time. A white trick worm is a secret weapon.

need help using a fluke
Tx rigged weightless. I also like a double fluke. Get 20" to 24" of line, tie a hook at each end. Grab the line about 6" to 8" from one of the hook ends and do a loop knot. That gives you the point to tie your line to. When you work it the flukes dance back and forth opposite of each other. A good example of what i'm talking about is called a speck rig, look it up. The only exception is speck rigs use jigheads, my version just uses ewg hooks no weight.

What do deep fish do in the Morning?
He didn't really say that the fish were coming in from 30' deep. That is based on an assumption. All I read was 16' on both sides. The area may only be 20' at the deepest of the lake for all I know. I have no clue what the depths are on the water he's fishing. So to me shallow would be 8' up to 1'. And I may be completly wrong here, but I truley believe if a fish is in 30' to 35' of water and has a good comfortable habitat at that depth, that is a fish that will never move out of that area.
