Hey all im 10 minutes from Canyon Lake this summer and was wondering if yall have any pointers of tips at Canyon Lake

Canyon lake is a very uneratted lake in my mind.  Most TX anglers have no idea that it is plum full of smallmouth bass!!  Not only does it have good numbers of them, but good size as well.  Lake record is about 6.5 lbs and there are many fish in the 3-4 lb range!

Best way to catch them is to fish points, bluffs, and ledges!  I have always done good with drop shots, jerkbaits, tubes, and senkos on that lake!

It also has good numbers of Largemouth, but not too much on size!  Also good for striper!

Beautifull lake!!  Can get crowded during the summer time but empty during colder months.  In summer I will suggest that you fish early in the mornings and try to stay away from weekends if possible!  Also, during the summer times it is good to go finesse!  Learn the drop shot technique if you dont already!

cool yea i really appreciate it yea im 17 and visiting my dad here in New Braunfels for whole summer and have the truck and the 18 foot bass boat all to myself   o yea do you fish any of the tournaments around here  I think im gonna start fishing one over at lake Dunlap Wendesday nights let me know if you know any good locals
