Little Rock Area

Featured Replies

Any anglers on here from the Little Rock/Conway area. I just moved over to Conway from Tennessee. I have grown up fishing Kentucky Lake so the Arkansas River seems very promising. Lake Conway looks good as well. Just wondering if anyone was from the area and how the fishing is. Thanks!

i am in conway. You are lucky...we have a lot of good fishing and several options. The arkansas river can be good when the water is right! You also have Beaverfork here in conway that is highly underated!! You might not catch a bunch of fish out there but you have a good chance at catching a couple 4lb+. I would stay off lake conway unless you have a flat bottom!! You need to check out Greers Ferry which is about 45 minutes away. Dardanelle is about 45 minutes away as well! Good luck!

I live in Beebe. I was excited to move here from New Mexico about 3 yrs ago. I don't know how big of water you like to fish, but I fish Lake Barnett,  Brewer and a few other smaller lakes compared to Greers Ferry which I fish as well. Fishing is usally really good.

I have mainly fished bigger bodies of water in Tennessee. Kentucky Lake, Pickwick, Etc... Nothing against the smaller lakes just always had tournaments on those bodies of water so thats where I spent more time. Definatly gonna check out as many lakes around here as I can.

I fish the bigger lakes here in Arkansas regularly. Lake Ouachita, Degray Lake, Greers Ferry Lake and Lake Greeson. I absolutely love Lake Ouachita and would recommend you try and spend some time on the lake. It's gigantic at over 40,000 acres. I have been fishing it regularly for nearly 3 years, and there are probably 15,000 acres I have yet to see. The lake is loaded with cover, full of baitfish and is surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest so the entire shoreline is undeveloped. The lake is the best in Arkansas in my opinion. The lake is home to the FLW Forest Wood Cup again this year too.
