Western NYers - chime in!

Featured Replies

See other threads around here calling out fellow fishermen in there areas. So how many fellow WNYers do we have around here. What places do you guys like to fish?

These are my main places:

New Albion Lake

Cattaraugus Creek

Flavia

some local ponds

Sounds like you might be southwestern New York. I'm in Rochester and fish a different assortment of waters.

I am from Bath, NY, or central NY. I mostly fish  Keuka, Canandaigua, Seneca,Honeoye, Lamoka, Waneta, Cayuta, Cayuga lake, but I have fished other surrounding lakes, just not as often.

I'm originally from Rochester, but I live in northern Virginia now.  I still get up there and fish every Summer though.  Mostly in Orleans County... Oak Orchard Creek, Johnson creek, Lake Alice.

I just caught this guy yesterday here in VA...

Never imagined myself bass fishing in the middle of November... but here I am.

Hello all, I live in Rochester and am starting to fish again after many years off. I am a bank fisherman. I have fished Long Pond, Buck Pond, Irondequoit Bay and a few local golf course ponds with my two sons ages 10 and 5. I am loving it and look forward to opportunities to fish other locations. Any suggestions you could offer would be appreciated. Thanks.
