Info. on Bass Pro Shops Foxboro, MA

Featured Replies

Hello all...

Just wanted to tell of my adventure today to the BPS in Foxboro, MA in case anyone is heading there this weekend.

A few things...

Wow!! The store itself is beautiful!!! Design, layout, etc.

Plan on spending quite a bit of time as the employees have been flown in from all over and no one knows the layout yet.

They still have some folks putting on clinics every hour or so (VERY interesting) but the "BIG" names have left already.

Look for the small 'SALE' signs in each aisle. There are quite a few items on sale that are not in the ad. Took me an hour and help from one of the sales people to figure this out. The signs means ALL the items in that section are on sale. No one tells you this.

Prices are higher than average stores (Walmart, Dick's etc.) but hey, how many Walmarts have a huge fish tank and waterfall in them??

There are a few companies introducing new baits for 2008 at a reduced price, but you have to look for the bins . They are not in one area.

I will be going back soon. My buddy wasn't feeling well so we had to leave early!!

Buy of the day: A huge Plano BPS tackle box, rear of the store near the boats. $9.99

If anyone has any other questions, PM me. I'll do my best. Other than that CHARGE IT!!!!!!

The BPS store where I live great, I can only guess yours is about the same.  It has everything you can think of for fishing, hunting, camping, & pretty much outdoors.  Actually where I live a lot of the prices are about the same as Dick's, Walmart, & Academy Sports. It's just they don't have the cheapo stuff like them as in $1 spinners & stuff.  But BPS has everything & a bunch variety so you can get all your stuff in one place.  Sometimes if I'm bored I'll just go there and look at stuff to get ideas about the boat & stuff.

They might not have told you, but at least at my BPS, they have seminars with people that talk about different stuff and help learn new tricks in fishing, hunting, BBQ/Cooking, etc... so you might want to look for things like that, that they might be having.  They are free to watch, you just have to know the times.

You will find yourself going to the store a lot if it's not far away, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

We were planning on heading up this weekend, but if it's a zoo we might wait a while.....

Then again........

Ah, couldn't resist. Tin2win and I ran up there for an hour today (Sunday). Took 40 minutes from Warwick. The parking lot was jammed, but we got a spot right away that wasn't a mile out in no mans land. Lot's of people, but not too ridiculous. I was suprised by the two levels, really cool. I had only been to a BPS in Dania Beach (Ft. Lauderdale) and it was all on one level. Made it out of there with a $5 t shirt and a bottle of Nestea :) .

........and who thought it was a good idea to put an Alligator Snapper in the touch tank????? ;)
