ohio bass

Featured Replies

i fished around warren once  mesquito lake or something like that  then i fished some river in that area for muskies im not sure i was 15 at the time

I work about two minutes from Indian lake and have fished it a few times.  Its a tough lake to fish without a boat.  Its a shallow man-made lake, so there arent many areas where bass can find the deep-water escape routes they like.  It does hold some decent fish, though.

throw a spinnerbait aroud lillypads always catch some good fish that way

I've fished Berlin, Mosquito, and the Ohio river.

No offense, but Ohio lakes are not on my list of favorites.

Ohio is a tough place to fish after you fish it your whole life you get use to fishing in ohio I like the ohio river i can usally catch some fish their i am a river rat

Ohio can be tough, but there is still some good fishin'. I love Indian lake. Bucknut if I lived two minutes from Indian lake I'd be in heaven, I usually fish it once a week and I live an hour and 15 minutes away. If you can find sweet spots at indian lake, usually related to pads, you can always catch some good fish. Indian lake is awesome in the spring, but with many tournaments every year it usually gets tougher as the year drags along. You should fish the BFL there this year.  Also do you fish St. Mary's much?

i live in st. marys, havent fished the lake for a year or two because i can never do any good there, muddy and just nasty. we fish Indian and Loramie quiet a bit, but most of our fishing is done in MI or IN, the water there is mostly crystal clear and alot cleaner, and we always catch bigger and more fish ;D.
