Quaboag/north pond

Featured Replies

I was wondering where the north pond is and is there good fishing there?

it's in brookfield, ma.

the fishing seems to better during the winter, i've never had much luck there in the summer. my buddy lives on quaboag so i got to fish it a lot and i don't think i caught anything. i know there's fish in there though. a kid just pulled a 28lb pike through the ice a couple weekends ago.

Thats a good size pike  ;D Do you know what road its on in Brookfield

if you're coming down rt. 9 you're going to want to turn at the clam box onto quaboag st. follow that for about a mile or so and you can't miss it on the right.

if you're coming from the mass pike/rt 20 area, you'll want to take rt. 49 to podunk road, then take a left onto shore rd. which turns into quaboag st. the lake will be on the left.

there's a boat launch right off quaboag st. with plenty of parking. if you're gonna be in the area, hit me up. i literally live 5 minutes away and like i said my friend lives right on the lake.

I will thank You, I'm coming from Spencer not to far

There is excellent fishing in North pond, it can be especially good during the spawn.  Id it has much clearer water with much less weeds than Quaboag.  You can either launch your boat there or go there by boat from quaboag.

Was on the Quabog river last year bass fishing. Using a Rapala and 4lb test, I got a snag (or so I thought). After a 10 minute fight, I brought in a 36" Pike. Unbeleviably on 4lb test.
