trying to get a trip going in an hour or so, just wondering if anyone has ever been to either of these 2 places.

Wondering whioch is better for shore fishing....

Haven't been to GL in about 22 years, but I've been looking to give it another go. Haven't heard anything about it one way or the other, though.

GL is kinda tough, if you're going for bass. Water was cold and the weather was windy when we went Sat. I would recommend paying the $20 and renting one of the jon boats- you get it for 5 hours. I was amazed at some of the grass growth along the nothern shore, tho.

Didn't catch a thing, but my kid had a ball- got to try out the new lures Santa brought him for Christmas.

Suggestion- if you rent a boat, get there as early as possible. A returned boat will have a dead battery, which is all you'll get in the afternoon if you go on a weekend.
