What type of Epoxy/Sealant

Featured Replies

I have a lucky craft Bevt Shad 65 that has a split in the middle of the underbelly of the lure from the treble hook being compressed through the body while in an overfilled storage box.

My question is what kind of epoxy/sealant should I use to seal up the hole?   have read of guys drilling holes and adding lead to suspend jerkbaits, so i figured whatever they use would work fo me as well.

Thanks

I've read a lot on the tacklemaking section and heard of people using Devcon 2 ton epoxy.

Im new to this site and when my lures break like that I take the reusable stuff out and use the lure for something else. Im a rc plane fanatic and I love the devcon epoxy. Stay away from the target stuff, it never dries! But you can get devcon for like a couple of bucks at walmart.

if u just gotta fix a small split, then add a thin coat of Devcon 5 min epoxy. it will start to set up in 5 minutes and i think it cures in ilke 2 hrs. there is no need for the 2 ton (which takes near 8 hrs to cure i think) if your just doing such a small job.
