heading up to schroon lake to do some fishing and camping with a few buddies. not sure where on the lake ill be fishing ever fish it before? looked at the topo and im just guessing around 20 foot dropp offs for the smallies and maybe finding some rock bottom cause i heard there are some weeds any tips?

I live in Queensbury. I haven't been to Schroon lake this year only Lake George. The nights have been cool this spring, keeping the lake and bites pretty cold (for me at least)  

I havient fished Schroon since I was a kid but I do remeber we caught alot of SMB wish I could help ya out with some spots to try. Good Luck!!

Rochester, anyone else from around here?

My partner and I couldn't get on the big fish at that Saturday tourney, and we also decided against getting in the Dash on Sunday because of the weather.

I think the biggest fish we pulled was 3lbs. Any idea who won that, when I left 17lbs was in the lead, with 9 people left to weigh in.

My partner and I finished 4th Saturday @ the EG Open it was defenately a tuff bite!! Alot more boats showed up then I thought there would be I think there were 47. Lunker I think was close to 6lbs good day though had fun I also didn't fish the Dash had to put up a fence!! > GRRRRRRRRRR

dmac14, I am from Rochester too. Have you fished in this area very long? I just got started back with fishing last summer so I don't have a lot of good locations figured out yet.
