Probably hitting my local river tomorrow, the current keeps it mostly free from ice.  Do you think I'm better off going deep or trying to hit some coves that are free of ice?   Never fished pre spaw before.  I know where they'll be in 3-4 weeks but not too sure now.

It depends on the weather to me. When the sun comes out try the shallower water where the sun is hitting it. That shoould warm up a bit. As you probably know bass can feel a 1 degree fluxuation in tempature. If its still chilly out I would go deeper. I know this sounds like pretty basic advice but its usually what works any time of year for me.

Wednesday is the next target.  No ice here in southeastern Mass.  Never fished pre spawn either, but I'm anxious to give it a try.

Titletown?  Foxboro?

No, not Foxboro, Watertown actually, but everytown in Mass is titletown with the Celts, Pats and Sox.  

Just got back from five hours of nothing.  Started with a jig and chunk, fishing real slow, then moved to a deep crank to dig up the bottom a little, hooked a monster carp, biggest fish I've ever hooked but he threw the hook.  Then threw the crank some more, rattletrap, tube, powerworm, inline spinner, culprit worm, lizard, X-rap, went back to the crank, spinnerbait,  - not even a bite.  Two other fine gentlemen where there two, threw swimbaits, spinners, creatures, cranks, etc. - nothing.  Starting fishing everything real slow, by the end just throwing anything, no luck.  Nice day to be out though.

Strange thing is people were having luck icefishing there 3 weeks ago and it's a nice spot during the spawn and after, there had to be fish there, just not biting anything.

No ice southeaster ma eh?  I may have to make my way down there this upcoming weekend

I'm looking at Wednesday.  Supposed to be near 60.  50s on the weekend.

I've been tuning up my gear.  Gotta change some lures and put some on three new poles I haven't fished yet.

Been out last 2 weekends.6 bass fist time out ,4 bass this last Sat.The good weather is coming.
