Any good catches in NJ?

Featured Replies

Hey all

Havent had much luck lately, my favorite lake is closed for trout stocking  and my other local lake is having a huge fish kill, hundreds of floating perch, blugill and other small fish. So I was hoping to hear success stories from others

good fishin everyone!!

Hey fanatic, you talking about Newton Lake when you mention the dead fish ?

That seems to happen there every Spring. I have no idea why, but it's been that way for years. I've caught fish there already this year. Once it warms up a bit, it'll be poppin' there.

Did you get my pm about other spots ?

BTW, if your into it, rig up a lite or ultralight with small inline spinners.

Newton has shad that somehow worked their way up there. Fun way to kill a couple of hours.
