Lake Nippenicket, Massachusetts

Featured Replies

Every year I try to add a new pond/lake to fish and since my buddy moved a few miles from here I wanted to get some info on this place. I see it's pretty shallow so i was wondering if there is anything i should be worried about.

I'm running a 16ft deep-v with a 30hp. thanks

It is pretty shallow, averaging three feet deep.  I tried it once last year.  That was enough for me.

Went all around it.  Looked fishy in places but never even got a hit.

It has the distinction of being the only place at which I got shut out last year.

The horsehead shaped cove to the left of the north arrow in the above site is rocky.  Didn't get to the backmost part of the pond.

I fished it 2 years ago in a tournament.  We won with 1 fish, it was over five pounds but it was a looooooong day until that bite.  I think only 1/4 of the teams caught a keeper.  It does look very like a very good bass lake though.
