Featured Replies

Stopped in my local walmart this afternoon.  They had some really good deals on clearence fishing stuff.  Berkley Power Shaky Worms were $1.00, Owner Offset Worm Wide Gap hooks were $1.00, 5 packs of Yum Chunk and Baby Crawdad Jig Trailers were $.50.  They also had a bunch of good deals on some jigs and Mustard hooks.  There wasnt a whole bunch too choose from, but ended up with a bout 20 dollars worth of  stuff for 5 dollars.  Just thought i would let people know, it may be worth checking out.

Was at my local Wally World today, and the fishing department is a joke. It's nothing more then what's left over from the last few years. Sure seems to me that their getting out of the fishing business here on Long Island (NY). Stopped in at my Local Dicks, and they're finally restocking for the up coming fishing season.  I literally bumped into the dept manager, and told him they were a month too late as most of my hard core fishing friends did the vast majority of their stocking and restocking Jan and Feb (myself included).  Seems like so many of these stores are geared more towards the female sports clothing business then anything else.

they claim to be for.

Likewise, my local Walmart sold off most of its fishing stock last year.  Went from 3 isles and a case section to about 1 isle.  So far they haven't done much in the way of restocking.  Only the standby tackle.

My local Wal-Marts put their fishing stuff on clearance over a month ago so what's left right now is picked over. I stocked up on Sufix Elite line for $4 a spool, Spot Removers for $3.50, Kinami Flash for $3 pack, and a Team Daiwa V rod for $30.
