Cadillac and Mitchell

Featured Replies

Does anybody have any background information on Lake Cadillac and Mitchell in Michigan? Has anybody fished there please explain what you have found to work best for large mouth and small mouth bass.

Best for largemouth and smallmouth?  Not going to either lake would be first on my list.

Haha just noticed this thread. I was up there last month. The bass bite wasnt really on, all I got there were Northern. I asked the baitshop what works well up there and he said blue and silver Rapala Husky Jerks work well in there, especially for smallies. There are also a shallower sandy area that drops off into really deep water over by the boat docks right off the highway I would throw a Countdown or a DT along that dropoff. Also there is a canal on the northwest side of the lake that connects it to Lake Mitchell. In that area, there is rocky shoreline that looks good for some crayfish imitation baits like Craw Papis. Other than that, I was only up there for a few days and dont know that lake well by any means. I am telling you what I was told up there along with stuff that I would use based off of past experiences of fishing similar areas. Hope this helps.
