Anyone ever fished Newton Lake? Does it still have HP restriction? How's the fishing? What kind of cover is there?

Any info would be cool. Just looking for some place to go when it warms up a fuzz. Know its a power plant lake. Figured I would start with that.

i have fished newton lake twice but it was in the summer but it is an awesome bass lake me and my dad have caught some 5 and 6 lbers in the few times we have been there but ive never fished in the winter i was gonna try it this year. Also i think it has a 25 horsepower limit but im not positive.

Yes it still has the 25 HP limit. You can fish it with a bigger motor on boat but have to use trolling motor only while away from ramp. You are allowed to use big motor to launch and load boat on trailer. Make sure your boat is in compliance with all state regulations. I get checked almost every time I go up there.

Triton21, Which regs are you talking about? Like life jackets, throwable PFD's, things of that nature.
