Hello All:

I'm comng to Rochester on business on Wednesday afternoon and will have 1 day to go fishing (Friday). I'm packing my gear in my car but have no idea where to go. I haven't been up here for 35 years. I used to fish the Canadian side of the 1000 islands with my dad and we used to hire an indian guide for a few days. However, I have 1 day to fish and hoped to rent a boat somewhere and go out on my own. I'm after bass and/or northern pike. I'm throwing back anything I catch so in season/out of season doesn't matter. Any suggestions as to where I should go to rent a boat, what they're biting on, etc. would be tremendously helpful.

Try sodus bay, about 40 minutes from rochester and they have boat rentals @ Bay Bridge Sport Shop

(315) 587-9508 I think they have cheap rentals, you can also try arney"s marina.   I fished here this past weekend and we crushed the Lm. flippn creature baits and cranks..good luck
