nabnassett and crystal lake westford/chelmsford ma

Featured Replies

i took a ride today after work to find a place to launch my 10' jonboat on nabnassett pond in westford. is there a better place to launch other than the beach/park off of birch st?

i also found freemon pond(crystal lake) in chelmsford. i saw a bunch of pictures of big bass at a local conveinience store in chelmsford that also sells live bait, wich is cool even though live bait is not my style. where can we launch at freemon?

thanks in advance.

i go in from the legion, but you have to have membership or know the guys,  i believe it's paddling only in freeman lake but i'm not 100% on that,  place used to be very polluted.

launched from the dam at freemon yesterday and caught 5 bass.

still trying to find a good place to launch on nabnassett.

hows the fishing on long sought for?

i've done fairly well there, weekends it can get packed with water skiers and things of that sort.  i always manage to catch a lot of pickerel there.

Crystal lake used to have a tackle store right across the street from a fishing dock (both the store and dock no longer there). I forget what the old man's name was who ran the store, but I heard once he passed away his kids sold it off.

It was recorded in the Lowell, Sun quite a long time ago, off a local catching huge carp. I think one was 20 pounds and the other close to 40 pounds.

Marty's was across the street from freemon pond
