  1. I got one for Christmas and I think it looks great. However I won't be using it for another 5 months, but it seems like it should be a solid bait.

Pressure, but it seems they are hitting the back end with no hook
  3. Haven't been able to hook a fish with this yet, had a few hits and was wondering if it's possible to add another hook in the back section? Do you thing it would cause an issue in performance if I got an eye hook in the back with a treble hook? Anyone ever do something like this to another lure?
  4. i just bought one and i have my hooks at the back on the rig, but i'm not sure if it's the best way. still debating if i should use un hooked swimbaits or spinners as the empty spots
  5. nice, do you put in from the bridge or down by the soccer fields?

i ended up soaking them in oxy clean then hosed them down, they look brand new again

no i haven't, i'm looking to do as little scrubbing as possible just to many corners to get into.
  8. i was sorting my tackle bag and all my plano(hard plastic) boxes that hold the lures have a lot of rust stains and dirt on them that are hard to get off with a regular rinse and scrub, has anyone ever put them in the dishwasher without them melting? was it effective? just trying to save a few bucks
  9. i use an ultra light st croix with a stradic ci4. hooked onto a carp in my kayak, got towed around for 10 minutes, nearly de spooled twice then i lost it
  10. does this place have a public launch?
  11. i've caught a few tiny bass from shore there before. i never even seen a boat in that place and i drive by it 10 times a week. i just don't see it holding big fish but i haven't fished it in a long time so i could be wrong.
  12. i believe that's the shallow lake, if the water is to warm you might not even catch trout in that place. you need downriggers and fish 1st connecticut and lake francis if you want to have success. if not just troll spinners and hope you get lucky
  13. i fish a shallow pond that is full of weeds and i know there are huge bass in there, only times i catch them is by throwing a huge lure or a big topwater frog or mouse. .
  14. i use a 6' st croix premier L with 10 lb braid and i've never had a problem, just make sure the drag is tight
  15. i use the 80mr(it hink that's the size) in blood ghost minnow. i have a lot of success with it but it took such a beating that a bass finally busted it, so i bought a few more.
  16. i used to fish this small pond that was loaded with quality bass, until recently some guy started showing up 2-3 times a week and just targeted bass and filling up his cooler. i've personally seen him take 40+ bass and now you can barely catch at that place and if you do the thing is a dink. place went from best fishery in the area to worst. it's at the point where this guy can't catch anything either. it was a shame to say R.I.P. to my favorite pond.
  17. i think i own most of their lures.(i can get them for real cheap) can't say they work better or worse but they look really awesome and it makes you feel better when you catch on them. my most productive are the blueback herring swimbait and the smelt.
  18. if your fishing for trout it's pretty good in the spring time, place gets hammered on the weekends. theres some nice smallmouth out there but you usually gotta be the first guy out there to get them. place is much better in the spring in fall, not worth my time in the summer
  19. thanks guys, i'm using a 6 foot light rod with 10lb braid, i will try some of these techniques next strike i get from it. maybe i will bring the heavy duty rod with me.
  20. this is my first season fishing frogs(koppers), but i can't hook the fish for the life of me, i've missed about 8 in the last week, anything special i should be doing? i thought i had one today but it seems he just spit the frog out about 10 seconds after he took it and i tried hooking it twice. i'm dying to catch one on a frog. any help is appreciated!
  21. some sort of trout my guess would be a brown or a rainbow
  22. i use a 6' st. croix premier rod(light) should run you between 90-100 bucks, however i got mine paired with a shimano stradic ci42500 which costs 200$. i think it's an awesome combo and it's super light, makes catching those 2 lb bass more exciting
