6' st croix premier light fast action with a stradic ci4 2500. 8 lb spiderwire braid

i caught my two biggest bass on these within 4 minutes of each other last year. never had one break from hitting rocks or logs yet, but i lost one to a fish and watched him jump and throw the lure about 15 feet and i was unable to find it. absolutely love this lure and i find myself using this more than other swimbaits i got

i clean my reel after each use(usually just the exterior) then about once a month will take the spool out and handle to make sure there is no ick building up. rod will get cleaned usually once a month unless there is noticably alot of crud on it i never throw my equipment and it's stored on a rod holder when i get home

yeah they stocked it for a few years (somehwere between 2000-2006 i think) they should be good size by now but i've never heard of anyone catching one either. yeah flints was stocked in the early 90's, doubt they are still in there though. where is cook pond?

that's a nice fish, i never have luck at mascuppic (the apartments give it away). you ever pull a tiger musky out of there out here of anyone catching one?

i got shut out for the first time this year on a river yesterday. not even a bite.

it's more than 50 dollars but i use one of those flip cam corders so i have a video and you can take pictures from the video when you put it on the computer.

i've never been to one since the closest one is about 45 minutes from my house. how is their selection of stuff compared to places like walmart and sports authority? it sounds like it carries alot more stuff.

me and my uncle are going to this lake tommorow, i've never been and he hasn't been in a while we are just wondering if there is a gate on the main boat ramp and if there is a certain time it's open? or is the gate always unlocked?

i fish in a place where tiger musky used to be stocked, i've never caught one from there but a couple times a season my rod almost bends in half and before i can even set the hook the line is snapped. i've had a few on my line that i've seen but they always take my lures before i can get them. i think more than likely your line is already going to be brushed up agains't their teeth and it's a quick cut from there

my goal is 10 bass every trip. but my average is prob 2 bass per hour

i slaughter there all the time, you gotta know the spots. that place is semi private and is closed july and august to the public. they usually lock the gate and if it isn't locked the neighbors will call police( if they see you) to get you a ticket/ warning. i've got a big orange sticker stuck to my jeep last year.

i've done fairly well there, weekends it can get packed with water skiers and things of that sort. i always manage to catch a lot of pickerel there.

i go in from the legion, but you have to have membership or know the guys, i believe it's paddling only in freeman lake but i'm not 100% on that, place used to be very polluted.

just caught 17 bass at nabnassett pond in westford, bassin isn't slow for me this year

alright , i'm bad with road names but my cousin lives right across from the road for the launch. once you pass long sought for there is a gas station about 10 seconds from the road side parking there. you will take that right turn before that gas station ( i think it's a getty but i might be wrong) once your on that road you have to keep looking for a road on your left called groton road. you will have to pass the american legion and if you see a white sign on the tree that says the johnsons groton road is coming up soon. it's quite a bit up the road from the gas station but it not that long. on groton road you will travel down hill a bit. just travel slowly after about a minute drive because its tough to see the ramp and the road gets narrow if you pass the ramp. on your left side you will see an dam and waterfall which is upper massapoag, it's fishable but a pain to put in. right across the street from there on your right side there is a dirt path which is the access ramp to massapoag parking is limited so only a few vehicles but with a car top you should be able to squeeze in there if it was full. i park under the trees incase anyone else comes in (some people get ticked if you park and they can't turn around) i'm sorry if my directions are crap. if you manage to pass the ramp there will be a real sharp turn and you will see the pond if you get confused just post and i will respond when i can. they just stocked it with trout so you could have luck with that as well.

well technically it's in dunstable/tysnborough. are you familiar with route 40? i can direct you from there

i think i've had the same problem your talking about on my sahara, i also use braided line, i took off the spool, there was some dirt, cleaned it up and it worked fine again.

i think i will go with the 2500 incase i want to use it with my falcon rod as well. i use 10 pound test braid and 6 pound test braid, the fish i catch don't get that big (my best was only 4 pounds in my life for freshwater fishing)

finally spending my christmas money i got a 6' st croix premier light spinning rod and i was thinking about getting the new shimano stradic ci4, what size do you think would be best the 2500 or the 1000, all my other shimanos are 2500 but i'm thinking the 1000 might feel better. what do you suggest?

where do you fish? i got my mass liscence this year and was looking for some new places in westford and tyngsboro. westford- long sought for forge pond cranberry bog( shore fishing only) chelmsford- newfield pond (car top) tynsborough- flints pond locust pond (car top) mascuppic lake long pond (need to know someone with membership at the bar to get access, there are 8 pound pickerel in this place) lake althea ( trek through the state forest, i fish out of a kayak so it's easy for me to get my stuff in) canyon gate (car top or carry on) groton- knops pond/lost lake (three lakes in one) awesome fishing it's located off route 40 about 20 minutes from long sought for if you know where that is baddacook- also off route 40 good fishing, especially for trout dunstable/tynsborough- massapoag pond awesome place to fish during the week gets crowded on the weekend/ limited parking and closed to public july and august if you know where long sought for is they are all relatively close except forge pond. can you carry your boat or do you need a boat ramp?
