Big Football Jigs
Thanks for the replies. I am in 25'-40' of water typically. Usually 1/2, sometimes 3/4 and hardly ever bigger than that. What are you guys putting on those jigs? Big worms? Creatures? Smaller baits on big jigs? And color of the trailers? Always dark because deep and low to no light? Twitch

We are the cool guys throwing on their bigger football jigs in deep summer water? Big? Little? Always dark because so deep? Thanks for the input! Twitch

"football" Weight For Carolina Rig??
Is there a good weight for C-rigging the occasional rocky bottom? Was thinking that someone probably has come up with a football weight for this, but haven't found. How hard do you think it would be to drill a lead egg sinker to make it a football weight? Twitch

Tip: Missing This Great Aspect Of The Ragetail Toad - Catching Fish On The Sink & Sit
Rage shad and the rage shellcracker rigged flat on a Chompers brush jig just like the PowerLures Lateral Perch is making money right now. Toss it close and let it soak. Drives 'em nuts. Twitch

I will check on that.

Heddon Tad Polly
Came upon about 20 of these baits, still in the box, all in mint condition, even the boxes. An interesting looking bait, just not something I see myself ever throwing. They are somewhat antique I would guess. Anyone believe any value to them? In the boxes? Is there a good resource to use to research the and serif worth putting on a board and selling them. Thanks for the help, Twitch

Td Fuego Was Supertuned
I have a 5 year old Fuego that I purchased off a member her (or TT, can't remember which) that was supertuned and sold because was just an extra. It performed flawlessly, I did do the amateur maintenance every year and now it is misbehaving. The casting distance is way short and retrieve seems rough. I took it apart as well as I can, cleaned and lubed. No change. I typically spool it with 30# Power Pro. I only use the Diawa oil and Reel Butter grease on the appropriate parts. Is there anything else I can try on an amateur level? It is going away in the winter for a cleaning anyway, just not ready to retire it for the season yet. Thanks, in advance, for all of your valuable insight. Twitch

Bladedancer?
Have used the smaller versions for pan fishing. Crappie find them delicious. If I recall, rock bass seem to like too.

Jig Fishing Question
Denny Brauer said try fishing your jig in a swimming pool that you are POSITIVE there are no fish in. That is what your bait feels like when nothing is happening to it. When you are fishing, when and if it DOESN'T feel like that anymore, hook set.

Frog Setups
Guys who throw frogs. If I am using a Heavy action rod that is rated for 25pound test line, but heavy vegetation frog fishing suggests I put 50-65pound braid on, how does that affect the rod? Obviously it is at higher risk of breakage? What are the Setups you experts use and why. Thanks Twitch
