Hey all..names dave and im originally from NJ. Moved to center city for school, and I need to fish!  Ive been to the river behind the art museum...but im looking for some nice lakes/rivers that are close by the city.  I have no boat, so I need all walking directions here.  Im looking for a decent spot within a half hour drive tops of center city.  Can anyone link me up, or tell me of some spots?  I seek large mouth, but will fish for pan fish or whatever is in the lake.  Thanks a lot everyone!

If you can change that 30 minute limit to say 45 minutes then I can help you out a little more.  If you stay where you're at and fish the Skuke (behind the Art Museum) you can get some nice Flatheads.  Channel cats are in the Big D if you can find some spots.  As far as LMB in the city, I never really had any luck with it.  I now live in Bucks Co, just outside the city and there are a few lakes here that produce.  The Big D also produces Striper, but the run has come and gone.  Once you get out into the burbs your horizons can be expanded upon greatly.
