  1. Daniel, are you talking about Marsh Creek Lake in PA? Sounds like it. If I were you I'd pass on the F10 and definitely look for an F12. Shoot me a PM and I'll give you a bit more info.
  2. It also seems like it's different depending on which part of Jersey. Right now south Jersey seems to be waking up and fish are biting. I haven't heard much from up north. Jerkbaits and lip less are my usual go to baits though. Mostly the jerk.
  3. Buddy of mine was out last week. Ended up taking a pleasure cruise.
  4. Hey Garrett..they just let anyone in here, huh?
  5. As a DSG employee I'll confirm. The F&S brand will also be found on some ammo as well as rods and fishing accessories. As far as tackle is concerned, Jawbone is looked at as being "ours".
  6. I don't think I've pitched a warranty in 3 years. In fact, some people I tell to not get warranties because the products come with a lifetime factory warranty. I have a good base of customers who come in because I tend to be open and honest with them (tell them things are flat out junk or not worth the price). I might lose a sale in the short term but gain a loyal customer in the long run.
  7. As stated before, F&S is owned by DSG (as is runner's world and golf Galaxy). They should have a decent selection in store, field and steam being the (obvious) in-house brand. I've only been to one and am hoping that they build one near me soon. I know that some of the stores have clueless workers. There's a way to change that. Apply for a position! That's what I did. In my store we're lucky to have multiple guys in the lodge who at least know fishing. Yes, I work at DSG part time. The fringe benefits are nice!
  8. Not from jersey but close enough. I fish the area in my kayak a bit.
  9. @dtux 87 Arfcoms to you my friend for your target choice! @megastink take a look at the club in New Holland. It'll stretch your legs for sure! Time to get back in the game. As for me, I'm still undecided what I want to do. Find an R700 action to build from, Savage 110, or RPR. Who knows!
  10. Hit Assunpink today...caught bass but none over 12 inches. At least I got out. Think I should stick with trying to get my Jersey citation pickerel for now.
  11. I'm actually from the good side of the river in PA.... . I just get a jersey license so I can fish to my east since I'm very close to the river, think Sesame Place. I do fish jersey more often than my own state though since I do quite a bit of saltwater fishing in the kayak. I will have to say though that the pickerel fishing has been fun as I've missed a citation c&r pick twice so far by a combined length of <1 inch!
  12. All I've really hit thus far are snot rockets. The few times I have been out the pickerel hit on everything I threw.
  13. Regardless of what your budget is you should get a boat that's comfortable for you. As stated above, DSG is a nice place to get a yak (go during a sale like this week and use a 10% off coupon). Depending on which store you go to you will have a different selection. In that budget I would personally recommend the Eagle Talon but without knowing any particulars about you this is a moot point. I do work at the store in Philly. With that said though I would recommend you go to an actual kayak shop (The Kayak Fishing Store in Wildwood comes to mind) and try to paddle a couple of kayaks before you buy one. There's only so much you can learn on the showroom floor of a big box store.
  14. Tough one, especially with only one team registering a full contingent of bass. How is that lake typically?
  15. Mike556 changed their profile photo
  16. Fairless Hills here. I fish Falls, Core Creek, Jersey, and come trout season I'll be over at Tyler for a bit. Need to find more areas to fish with the kayak.
