Keuka Lake, NY

Featured Replies

Has anybody fished this lake for bass? Going up in a couple of weeks and have no idea where to fish or what to expect. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Doug

I'm originally from Syracuse so I've fished that lake a bunch.  You can sometimes do good at the lower end of th "y" with flukes and stickbaits.  I've done pretty good hitting the weeds and docks.  Had some good numbers hitting top water in the morning too.  The bigger fish are elusive, at least for me, but you can usually find some decent ones to pull your line tight!!

Lots of toothy critters there too, so keep your Lucky Craft baits at home!!

As far as the lake itself...the upper ends are pretty shallow and a little darker.  The rest of the lake is deep and crystal clear.

I fished a tournament there in the beginning of the year. It seems like if it is sunny out u have to fish out deep, but if it is cloudy or rainy fish the docks. They sometimes hold big ones.
