i have fished kellys falls, and nevr had too much luck there. there is a small pond behind wendys on south willow st in manchester, nutts pond i believe, and you should have some fun and catch some from there.go to the end of the road and you will see the pond and the access, the road is only 1/4 mile long.

Fished the Nashua River last night with a buddy, man, what a waste of time and effort even putting the boat in the water. The place is a toilet, so much mil foil and coontails, makes it hard to fish. Came up with 2 dink buckets in about 3hrs.

Anywho, trying Dunklee Pond today in Hollis. Anyone fished here before? Is this place a toilet as well?

If you're talking about Glen Lake in Goffstown, it's tough from my experience, but there are some descent smallies there.

+2 on the Nashua river. It just sucks. River fishing in general does also in my opinion. Dunkalee I heard is a waste of time as well.

just got back Jenness Pond in Pittsfield. I've never fished there before but my buddy Paul has and got some giant LM and SM. I did ok with 4 SM all around 1-1.5 lbs 2 LM 1 dink and a 3lb9oz and a big pickerel. Paul got a nice 2lb10oz SM.

Oh really....huh. Never heard anything about it, so I thought I would try it out. Man it looks nice from the topo, lot of good structure, looks kind of deep. I'll go and check it out, if it looks like a toilet, then maybe I'll hit Potanipo Lake. Thanks for the info though.

dunklee sucks. you need to get permision from the police dept to fish there anyways.

nashua river for the most part sucks, but i did manage a 4 pounder a couple weeks back. they are in there if you can find them. i usualy cant.

Yeah, I figured out that Dunklee was a no go once I got to the gate and saw that you had to go to the police dept to get the keys. So I ended up going to Potanipo. I give it a 2 out of 5. It's really shallow and quite busy little place. A lot of jet skis and people water skiing. I caught 11 dink buckets, one at 2lbs. Not sure if I'll hurry back there. Any other good ponds/lakes?

i got a 4 pounder at potanipo this year. we always catch at least a couple dinks when we go there. the boat raffic is bad enough to make you seasick in a small boat. probably best to fish there durring the week.

the nh state record is from potanipo. 10 pounds!!!

I've been wondering what Potanipo was like. I tried there VERY early in the year, but didn't get a bite in the cold water. Been wanting to go back, but just haven't got there. Good to hear there is at least a bit of action, and I've heard there are some decent size ones in there somewhere.

Anyone have any other suggestions for some late summer locations that havn't been taken over by vegetation at this point?

Speaking of vegetation, as you can probably guess Mill Pond in Nashua is pretty congested, but my buddy just caught a sweet 7 pounder on a swimbait there about a week ago.

Mill is unfishable now. Just tried to get out there today. Worst then ever. They really need to clean up that pond. That was my pond last year. I pulled many 4 to 5 pounders out of there, but not this year. I'm calling fish and game tomorrow to see if they can help. I'm sure I won't get anywhere,but its worth a shot.

It probably won't help this year, but if they hear from enough people it could certainly help for getting it on the list next year. The state has milfoil management plans for 70% of affected ponds/lakes - so I read - and if they hear that this pond is impoartant to people they may consider it. Only thing going against it is there are no homes on the pond with residents who would complain about bad swimming and diminishing property values.

EDIT: Actually, after thinking for a minute Fish and Game may not be much help. However, the state DES exoctic species program could develop a milfoil management program for the pond.

Potanipo is hit or miss. its way overfished and overused. my profile picture is actually a bass from potanipo and my dads personal best came out of there years ago. however if you can fish it on a calm weekday there still are some big ones to be caught. usually every pre spawn you can see the big (5+lbers) swimming through the sandy shorelines.

I am still gonna voice my opinion. It has been like that for almost 10 years now. Just BS if you ask me.

Anyone fish Turkey Pond in Concord?  Looks big how is the launch and parking?  Thinking of taking the tracker there tomorrow with my son.

Yeah, buddy! Turkey is a good place to fish, except one thing. The launch sucks hard!, and parking is tough at best on a weekend day, but not bad during the week. Huge pond, way bigger than most think, and it holds plenty of fish, including some big ole bass, and absolute monster pickerel.

Will I be able to the tracker in there or should I bring my Jon boat? 

Man, I remember now that the state record was caught there, I guess I didn't put 2 and 2 together! I must have been on the miss side of things. Maybe I was in the wrong locations of the pond, who knows. Where is everyone else catching the nicer fish there, it isn't very deep.

What about Naticook Lake in Merrimack? Topo shows that it's only 20ft deep at it's max point, avg of 11ft. Another toilet? Looking for a place to go today after work for a few hours. Any suggestions?

Naticok is OK at best. Nashua Fisherman seems to do OK there, But I heard it's not the best place to hit. I personally have not done well there.

Man, maybe I'll skip that as well. What's another good little pond or lake around the area? Anyone fished Bowers Pond? That's the pond you drive over near exit 8 on Rt.3 correct? Just looking for somehwhere close that houses some nice buckets!  8-)
