Quabbin Reservoir

Featured Replies

I'm actually from NH, but I just moved pretty close to the Quabbin Reservoir. I've heard it is great fishing, but I know there are a ton of restricitions on fishing there.

I have a quick question about the rental boats there. What type of boat, what type of motor, are they available at all gates, etc...Can anyone help me out?

Thank you!!

I can't answer any of your questions, but my brother went there 2 years ago, rented a boat, and had a blast. He said the structure is out of this world, and the place is just a great fishery.I would love to try it out someday.

Thanks so much.  I think we are going to go out of gate 31, which is on the list in that link.  I was curious if they had trolling motors, but I really doubt they do.  It's kind of a pain because there is a 20-25hp limit on motor;s, and mine is a 90.

Yeah they are just basic boats with tiller motors, no trolling motors. You could probably bring your own. The place is huge. We didn't see much of the lake but we caught a lot of fish.
