I Got a question

Featured Replies

I've been buying the clear plano containers for my plastics and I was wondering how most store them?

question is do you keep them in the originale plastic bags and store them in the container or do you unload them out of the bag and store them in the container?

was wondering how well if any do they hold up on not drying out if their out of their originale bag. :-?

i currently keep them in their originale bag and store them away

I used to take them out of the bags and put them in the boxes, but I quit doing that because my tackle bag only allows the boxes to stand vertically, so the plastics would get bent and I found it aggrevating to have to dig threw them all trying to find a straight one to fish with.

Now I have a couple Plano Plano® 3731 Bulk Storage Boxs that I can put whatever bags I need into.  In my experience, keeping them in the bag keeps them nice and straight.

I tried taking them out of their bags and had a mess. I prefer to keep them in the original bag and store them in Rubber Maid type boxes and have satisfied with that method.

Bass fish, I picked one of them 3731 up last week, and I set up my storage for them on my boat project.

I bet most still keep them in the originale bag :)

I leave them in the original bags, and store them in Plano 3730, which is different than the above mentioned.

The above mentioned is simply a one compartment box. With the 3730, there are 3 dividers that run horizontally, so there's automatically 4 different compartments. Then you are given the opportunity to split it up into more compartments.

I turn it into 6 compartments and store between 15-18 bags of soft plastics. I have two of these boxes: one dedicated to creatures, tubes, etc.. and the other dedicated to worms and plastics used as spinnerbait trailers.

I'd highly recommend this method. Very well organized and any time you can keep your plastics in their original bags it's a good thing.
