strike king series 6/5 crankbaits
Hey guys, that Sexy Shad color is the real deal. We will have the hot new color called Chartreuse Sexy Shad soon. KVD won an event recently with the proto type. We have a client who reported hot action this weekend on one we got to him. He fished stained water with the regular color with no luck and then put the Chartreuse color on proceed to whack em. I look forward to tying one on myself.

I need a Guide to show me around.....
Hey Nitro, we carry a line of floating soft plastics that are red hot on the Potomac. The baits are made by RnR who is based out of that area. This is an up and coming bait manufacturer and we are the only internet site to handle this product. We have a good selection of colors and styles and may be able to share a little info on the bites right now. (just a little). We are still adding pictures but have many styles and colors in stock. We are going to run a "free shipping" special to introduce this line. Thanks Richard

West Point Lake, Georgia
I would suggest using the ramp on hwy 48 in Wedowee, AL. That would put into Lake Wedowee. ;D I am not a big fan of West Point.

Please help me!!
Like another post mentioned, check the pawn shops. I have dealt with thieves for the last 20 years and I suspect it was not a fisherman but rather someone looking to get money quickly which is why a pawn shop is a good place to start. Has anyone else in the neighborhood/area had similar issues? Any friends of friends been around lately that may have known what was there? Just a few thoughts, hope you can resolve this soon. Sorry for the hastle. Good luck. Richard

Moving to Alabama
I have lived in Alabama since 1990 and love it here. If you decide to come this way give me a shout. I have some contacts in the Scottsboro and Guntersville area who can probably help out with housing etc. The Coosa River is near my home which makes Lake Weiss and Logan Martin if you prefer to get your arm broken by some crazy spotted bass. Alabama has alot of great lakes to fish. Give us a call. Richard 256-452-8090.

Most Embarising Moment on the Water
Early spring in AL. While fishing a crankbait near some rip-rap and bridge, I cast along the bank and had a fish slam the bait. As I fought it to the boat I realized it had a little more attitude than a bass. As it finally came near boat, I saw a 30 lb cat fish. The issue was that he ate my favorite crankbait and I did not want to risk losing it. My net was in storage so I had to dig it out. Finally had it in my hand but had to extend the handle. While pushing the handle forward, the fish lunged towards the front of the boat, I went with him, as I headed for the front deck, I lost my balance, pushed the net head off the handle, knocked my cap off the right side of the boat. Fell in on the left side. Nice kids on jet a ski came by, daddy's little angels... Fish ran in the TM, cut the line. Saved the handle to the dip net though. My first thought was where is my cell phone. ;D Swam around to the rear of the boat and used the recested boarding ladder. ( they can really save your life you know) A pass through the area with sonar showed the depth was 5 feet, could have walked out. A day on the lake, in my world.

Evolution Jigs
I like the Green Pumpkin color. Spots and LM both eat it. I have been using it with a nice trailer from a new product line we carry (R&R Custom Pastics). The Hoochie Craws floats like crazy. The pinchers float up on the pause like someone stuck a gun in their ribs. ;D

Solution to Large Weighted Swimbait Hook Supply
We use and sell weighted hooks with a screw-lock keeper. I use those hooks on the Yum Money Minnows and have been very pleased with the performance. We drop a little glue on the screw lock and the bait stays in place very well. If anyone needs 5/0 1/4oz we have them in stock. Later Richard

Lipless crankbaits
Hey Brian, the next time you are in your favorite tackle shop look at the Excalibur brand in the "One Knocker" series. These have a unique sound produced by one large pellet. They are pretty hot on Guntersville and were kept quiet by pros for a while. In my opinion they come through the grass pretty well. We added them to our site once we saw how well they fished. Hope this helps. Richard

Evolution jigs?
FYI, the prices have just been reduced by $ 2 per pack. The materials the heads are made from have changed. I use and carry this product on our site and have been very pleased. The upright position of the hook makes it ready for a bite. We are working with a new vendor who makes floating soft plastics for this jig. We should have product in the next week or so. We will be sending out samples so if you would like to try some shoot us an email with your address to get on the list. blueherontackle@aol.com Later Richard

Sebile Lures- Magic Swimmer
Hey guys, we can get these. If you need some of the Sebile baits let me know which bait and color and we can probably help, and save you money. We are planning to add this line to our site so a custom order is not a big deal. Later Richard

How to fish worms?
I absolutly agree with Catts assesment on fishing a T-Rig worm. However, I would like to add a couple other techniques that I have found to be killer. If you have found that the S-L-O-W presentation is not working. just add a shakey head approach to it. Do all the things Catt said but add to it a shakey head approach. As you drag back the lure to the boat, simply shake the lure in short, short jerks until you get the rod to the 12 o'clock position, then reel down very slowly until you make contact with the lure again. This is when you pause. Then slowly repeat. Hope this adds to the other great posts, Lee
