I was wondering if some of the NC/VA members would be interested in a gathering on say Kerr/Buggs Island or Gaston. Just throwing it out there. I would be interested in meeting some members and learning from you guys.

I'm game. I was at Kerr 3 weeks ago for a club tournament, water was way down (8-10')....caught about 30 fish during the tournament but only had 4 all day that stretched over 14". It was a real dink marathon.....but I got bit constantly all day long.

Gaston is awesome. Havent been there since June though. If you want to do it, I'd do it pretty soon, this weather wont last much longer. You talkin' tournament or just a simple get together?

I'm talking just a chance to get out and fish with one another, getting to know one another and maybe a bbq.  Maybe after the first one and seeing what kind of turn out we have, a tournament in the spring.

Fall is a bad time to try to gauge a "good turnout" , fishing-wise. Maybe hunting. There are lots of guys who stop fishing once hunting season starts no matter what the weather is doing or if the fish are still biting. I'm not trying to discourage anyone because I think its a good idea, the timing may be wrong though....but we can still try it.

Yeah i may be interested, depending on what date.  But i have pretty much put down the fishing poles, and started hunting.  I would think early spring would be a better time.  People are enthusiastic to get out on the water then.
