INFO NEEDED: LAKE NEELY HENRY

Featured Replies

Planning on fishing Lake Neely Henry in Gadsden, AL next weekend. This is my first trip there. If anyone has any tactics, lures to be used, or general information, I'd really appreciate it. Would you target the Largemouths or the Spots, or both?

Thanks,

If you are going out of Gadsden near the railroad bridge and the 3 other bridges you dont even have to crank the big motor. Just fish to the right of the ramp, follow it all the way down till you stop catching fish. There are a few very little coves that you can bang out 5-10 keepers in an hour or so. Then when you get to the end go across to the bank that has the warm water discharge building. Follow that back down towards the ramp. Fish all the rip rap and all the small coves. They are shallow but I fished an FLW Event there in July with 88 degree water and it was loaded with fish.
