Shakey head season is upon us. Who wants to freeze the tail end off this weekend? Landed 8 last weekend, this Sunday looks to be a great day for it.............

I MIGHT be able to go. Where are you headed? I'm going to the Army/Navy game on Saturday so I have to see how much work I get done on Friday and Saturday night to know if I'll be able to fish.

Rob,

Where are you going to fish?  I am going fishing Saturday some where, I originally tried to see if any one was interested in a trip to Black Hill State Park but I have no takers.  So I may end up back at Mercer again Saturday early morning.  If it is not raining Sunday I would be up for hooking up.  Let me know where you are going.

I'm thinking Lake Royal is a great choice.

I can make it to Lake Royal so long as it is not raining.  I do not want to be out in the rain with temps in the low 40s.

So... what exactly is a shakey head?  Is that just what you call a jig head with the eye at less than 90 degrees?  I've never been much of a jig fisherman, but I did used to catch smallies on them with porkrind trailers.  I'm game to learn something new!

PK, Bring your rods with you and I will hook you up with everything else. I have the jig heads and worms needed. Works best on spinning gear with 8 lbs line. Oh and a massive amount of patience.

Well, again I won't be able to make it...Good luck fellas

Who's in?  Ron? PK? It's gonna be good. There is a sweet spot.... :) If you know what I mean. The shaky head God's will make it happen.   I was thinking about 7-7:30, in that area.

Rob,

I'm there, I plan on being there around 7:00 to 7:15 in the morning. Looking for a trophy LMB. BIG BAIT BIG FISH!!! I will see you in the morning. Where are you going to start your day off?

I'll be on the dam end, think small and slow moving baits..............

Where do you guys park? Ron, is Jason coming? If not, someone want to shoot me a number so I can find you guys!?  I'm going to sneak out there for a few hours.

I was out drinking tonight, so it'll be iffy if I'll be there, but I'm d**n well going to try since it's only a 5 minute drive from my house.

See you guys on the lake!

Paul

I only got to spend a little over an hour on the lake but I was able to catch a little one at least.  Caught it on a REBEL Rocket Shad which is basically a poor man's rat l trap.  It was good to meet a few of you guys on the board.  Hope you all had better luck after I left.

Paul

I only stayed a couple of hours but did not catch anything.  I went to Mercer for a couple of hours after that and caught two 1 lb LMBs.  It was nice to meet you to Paul.

=/ I stayed for a bit then went to another location with Rob but I ended up being skunked.  It was cold, I got skunked but I feel like it was worth it! It was good to meet more board members.

Thanks to Rob for teaching me a lot of things and everything else  ;D

Good to hear you didn't get skunked on the day Ron!!!

Although it was short, it was nice meeting you Paul!

Well, let me start by saying that "it sucked". With the major weather front and the wind that kicked up. It was not a good choice to be out there. Now that is not to say I did'nt enjoy it. It was good to see Ron again and meet Paul / pkschul. I fished the whole time with Andrew / ado124 and gave pointers and some takle to him. I hope he puts it to good use! Even though its cold, I fish until there is ice. I plan on being out there again somewhere soon. I have a really cool pic of a 9.5 pounder that came from Royal, I just have no clue on how to post it.......I'll figure it out.

Rob, if you want you, can email the picture to me and i'll happily post it up for you. andrewvdo@gmail.com

WOW, hoping someone didn't take it home for dinner....
