Fly Fishing in Atlanta, GA

Featured Replies

Good morning yall...

I just got a fly fishing rod, my first, from my mother-in-law for Christmas.  Anyone have any ideas for a good place to try it out, either for bass or trout, until I get the hang of it I am not picky, near Atlanta.  New to the sport, so probably need plenty of open area to avoid catching any trees or fellow fisherman.

Happy 2008 to all,

The Bum

When trout season opens back up, you should head to the Hooch.  But, it is closed right now.

Actually right now is a great time to trout fish around Atlanta. The Chatahoochee Delayed harvest in in full swing. I fished there Saturday. for more information on trout and fly fishing in North Georgia got to www.ngto.org
