Help me decide on sunglasses

Featured Replies

Hey all. I have a small problem. Well, I'm in the market of buying some sunglasses, and have narrowed it down to two. I either want to get the Solar Bat Sensor or the Costa del Mar Hammerhead. Well I'm sure that the Costa is probably the better one, but can the Sensor hold its ground? What are some advantages/disadvantages of the two?

Get the fox aviators. That is what I have, and I would recommend them to anybody. They should be in almost every store that carries oakleys

Brother, go with the hammerhead and get green mirror lens. It's amber based! Costa del mar got awesome warranty and stuff so they are the real deal.

My brother and cousin both have costa del mars and loves 'em.

P.S. I'm proud owner of a costa del mar fathom with green mirror lens. My only regret was I wish I bought the stringer because it had a green frame. Green frame + green lens= bad arse sunglasses. ;)

I have some costas, and I love them.  Not only are they awesome glasses, but their customer service is second to none.  I had a problem with some discoloration on the lenses and they fixed them for free.  I have also heard of many people who have had lures come back and hit them(shattering the lense) and have recieved new pairs for free.  I always like when a company back's their product.  Besides that, they fit really well, they are light(forget I'm wearing them sometimes), and they are awesome as afr as being able to see into the water.  I have the green mirror/amber and I love em'

Maybe I should have got some costas.

I have a pair of costas and had to send them in for repair. I had no responses to emails or pphone calls and it took months to get them fixed. This was one bad expeience. I would not but another pair from them. customer service was non-existant. This was about 3 years ago. maybe things have changed?

I have Costa MP2 with the green mirror lenses and i love them. Best glasses i have ever owned.  I had to send them back, and there customer service department was top notch.  Get the Costas, you wont regret it.

Thanks a lot guys. Anyone have any experience with Solar Bat?

I had a pair of sloar bats as well....had to send them aback and had a replacement set within 5 days. highly recommend...as opposed to costas. Don't get me wrong, the costas a good...the company sucks though.

I just picked up my second pair of Costas over the weekend.  I got the Tropic Stars, they are interchangable lenses and come with either gray, amber and vermillion, or gray, amber, and sunrise.  I also have the Fathoms in blue mirror and both pairs are awesome.  Very comfortable, light weight and best of all, a lifetime warranty.
