university of georgia fishing?

i will be attending the university of georgia next semester and was wondering where any good bass fishing spots are close to the area.  i am from las vegas nevada and have done my fair share of bass fishing but nothing east of texas. any suggestions?

Congrats on going to UGA.

You will find that the campus is beautiful; the people very nice; and the coeds the sweetest girls in the south.

The Georgia guys will give you some advice as fishing in Georgia is excellent all year.

And this coming from an LSU guy who likes UGA other than on October 25 this year. ;D

Just get that degree!

I can't offer any specific advice, but I do know that there is a lot of farm pond fishing in that area.  Good fun from what I can tell.

UGA has a bass fishing team now. Look them up...they are good...we will be competing against them next weekend at guntersville...it will be on fox college sports

Electric only lakes, or small outboards,

Varner

Charlie Elliot Wildlife Area - about 15 small lakes

Sandy Creek

Commerce Water shed

All within an hour of Athens.
