Econ river fishing

Featured Replies

Greetings,

Last Friday I broke away from work long enough to get down to the river, which is still VERY high. I rode my bike down the main trail to the wooden bridge, went west until I found a nice little peninsula at the mouth of a 'duck' pond that gets filled each time the river crests. I was able to cast right at the mouth of the pond and was able to land a 2.5 lb bass.  Was about the length of a 1.5 lb fish but was REAL fat, they've been eating well. Not a trophy, but beats working. Looking forward to river subsiding enough to spot the deep water holes.

Cheers, Dallas
